A patient-level shortage of GlucaGen HypoKit in August and September 2023 is anticipated, supplier Novo Nordisk has advised.
In a statement, the company says a shortfall in the release and supply of pre-filled syringes from an external vendor has resulted in supply constraints for the product.
'This shortage is not a consequence of any safety or quality-related issues,' the statement reads.
'This is not something we take lightly and we acknowledge the uncertainty and concern for the diabetes community.'
