The Australian Diabetes Educator (ADE) publication is inviting CDEs working in rural and remote areas to contribute to our esteemed publication.
This is a unique opportunity to highlight your significant roles in making positive differences in communities where healthcare resources are often limited.
We are seeking one-page articles that provide a window into your world.
Share your journey, your passion, and the realities of your work with a wider audience.
This is your chance to shine a light on what it means to be a CDE in the heart of Australia's diverse landscapes.
We are flexible with the content and the following are examples of topics you may discuss:
- Your role and workplace: describe your day-to-day activities and the setting in which you work.
- Journey to becoming a CDE: tell us what motivated you to pursue this field and the steps you took to become credentialled.
- Passion for your work: share what you find most rewarding about your role.
- Overcoming challenges: discuss any obstacles you've encountered and how you've addressed them.
In line with our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we have previously featured articles from CDE members with non-nursing backgrounds: Highlighting the professional diversity of our profession.
We continue to celebrate the varied paths that lead to a career in diabetes education.
If you're interested in contributing or want to learn more, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Your article could be the next feature in our September edition, but please note that submissions are due by mid-July 2024.
Join us in inspiring and informing our community through your stories and experiences.
Your voice matters, and we can't wait to hear it.
