Limited supplies of Ozempic® (semaglutide) will be available across pharmacies in Australia from late next week, the TGA has advised.
Although supply will improve over the coming weeks, supplies will remain limited, and difficulties in sourcing the medication will likely continue.
Please note that TGA advises "that initial supplies of Ozempic will not be enough to meet demand from all patients with current valid prescriptions for type 2 diabetes nor for those taking it off-label for other conditions".
The TGA advice includes recommendations for people with a prescription for Ozempic, pharmacists, and prescribers.
